RTO Jammu Vehicle Registration Process

Location - RTO Offices - Motor

New Registration

Visit Parivahan Sewa, select Online Services, Vehicle-Related Services and then choose your state.

Choose Apply for New Registration or For Temporary Registered Vehicles based on requirement.

Enter the temporary registration number, fill out the application form, and upload required documents.

Pay the registration fee online and book a vehicle inspection appointment at the Jammu RTO office.

After inspection approval, RC smart cards will be delivered to your registered address.

Registration Renewal

Visit Parivahan Sewa, go to Online Services, Vehicle-Related Services and select your state.

Choose the nearest Jammu RTO, click Renewal of Registration and enter your vehicle details.

Pay the renewal fee and schedule a vehicle inspection appointment at the RTO office.

After inspection approval, a renewed RC smart card will be delivered to your address.

Jammu Road Tax Rates

Road tax in Jammu and Kashmir is levied under the Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1957. Vehicles registered before August 2019 pay quarterly token tax, while those registered after August 2019 pay a one-time road tax ranging from 9% to 10% of the vehicle’s ex-showroom price.
