What is covered?
Emergency Care: Covers medical and dental treatment resulting directly from accidental injuries sustained during your trip.
Pre-existing Diseases: If a pre-existing condition becomes life-threatening while travelling, emergency treatment costs will be covered.
Third-Party Liability: If you accidentally injure someone or damage their property, we’ll cover the resulting medical or repair expenses.
Travel and Baggage Delay: Covers delays due to medical emergencies, bad weather, job loss or security issues. Baggage delays exceeding 12 hours are also covered.
Lost Passport: If your passport is lost or stolen during your trip, the plan helps cover the cost of getting you a replacement.
What is not Covered?
Planned Treatment: Travelling to any Asian country solely for medical treatment, surgery or cosmetic procedures is not covered under the policy.
Undeclared Pre-existing Diseases: Medical emergencies related to pre-existing illnesses that were not disclosed before purchasing the plan will not be covered.
Pregnancy-Related Exclusion: If you are over 30 weeks pregnant, any expenses related to childbirth or associated complications during the trip are excluded.
Legal Violations: Costs arising from legal issues, including situations that result in your passport being seized by authorities, are not covered.
Negligence: Claims won’t be accepted for missed flights caused by personal delays or failure to carry necessary travel documents.

Filing a claim under your IndusInd Turkey travel insurance policy is easy! For medical claims, all you need to do is submit your policy details at the hospital reception to get cashless medical coverage. And for non-medical claims like flight delays, trip cancellations, lost checked-in luggage, etc., open your Self-i app and tap “InstaClaim”.

Types of Visas for Turkey
There are six different visa types for Turkey that every Indian should be aware of before booking tickets for the destination. Here is a glimpse of all of them:
Sticker Visa
A short-stay sticker visa is issued by a Turkish embassy for trips up to 90 days when e-visa isn’t allowed. Apply via Türkiye’s online pre-app system.
E-Visa
Indian passport holders can get a Turkish e-Visa only with a valid visa/residence permit from the US, UK, Schengen or Ireland. It allows single entry for 30 days.
Tourist Visa
A tourist visa lets you visit Turkey for leisure. Issued as an e-visa or sticker visa, it allows stays up to 90 days in 180, depending on nationality.
Business/Trade Visa
A business visa allows short trips for meetings or trade. Often available as an e-visa, it permits stays up to 90 days in 180, based on your nationality.
Student Visa
A student visa is needed to study in Türkiye and must be obtained before arrival. After entry, apply for a residence permit to stay for your course duration.
Official Visa
This visa is for official government travel. Some diplomatic passport holders are exempt; others need a sticker visa arranged via a Turkish embassy or consulate.
