What is Group Personal Accident Insurance?
Group Personal Accident Insurance is a special insurance policy that you purchase to protect all your employees together. It covers injuries, disabilities, or loss of life caused by sudden accidents – not illnesses or diseases.
When an accident happens, this policy pays money directly to the injured person or their family. The amount depends on the type of injury that occurred. For example, in the case of accidental loss of life, the family receives the full insured amount. If someone loses a limb or their eyesight, they get compensation based on the policy terms.
You purchase this insurance because it shows you care about your workers' safety and well-being. It helps your employees feel secure knowing their families will be financially protected.
Who Should Buy Group Personal Accident Insurance?
Large Companies
If you have many employees, you should buy this policy to protect your entire workforce. It shows you value your employees’ safety and well-being. Group insurance is more affordable than individual policies, which makes it cost-effective for your business while providing comprehensive coverage to all staff members.
Manufacturing Businesses
If your employees work with heavy machinery, at construction sites, or in hazardous environments, you need this coverage since these jobs have higher accident risks compared to office work. The policy provides financial security to your workers and their families, helping you fulfill your duty of care responsibilities.
Transport Companies
If your employees drive vehicles, handle cargo, or travel frequently for work, you should invest in this insurance. Your drivers, delivery staff, and field workers face road accident risks daily. This policy ensures they and their families receive immediate financial support if something unfortunate happens during work hours.
Educational Institutions
If you run a school, college or university, you can protect your teaching and non-teaching staff with group accident insurance. Your teachers, lab assistants, maintenance staff and administrators all benefit from this coverage. It creates a secure working environment and demonstrates your institution's commitment to employee welfare and protection.
Corporate Offices
Even if you run an office-based company, you should consider this insurance, as accidents can happen anywhere, anytime. Your employees commuting to work, travelling for meetings or working from different locations remain covered. The worldwide coverage from our plan ensures protection beyond your office premises, including during business trips and personal time.
Hospitality Sector
If you run a hotel, restaurant, retail stores or service business, you employ many workers in customer-facing roles daily. These employees move around constantly, handle equipment and sometimes work irregular hours. Group personal accident insurance provides them with financial protection, improving employee satisfaction and helping you retain good talent.

Pre-existing health conditions and diseases are not relevant for this coverage, as it only covers accidents.
