Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance
Annual travel insurance, often referred to as multi-trip travel insurance, is specially designed for those who travel abroad multiple times a year. These plans offer coverage similar to single-trip insurance plans, but extend their extensive coverage beyond just one trip.
Annual travel plans cover unlimited trips up to a maximum of 45 days in a year, eliminating the need to buy a new travel insurance policy every single time you plan a trip overseas! For example, if you travel to Dubai several times a year due to work, you can get our annual multi-trip travel Insurance to cover all the trips you take within the year. It's less expensive than buying a new plan every time you travel, and you get year-round coverage against common travel risks, like medical emergencies, baggage loss, passport loss, or flight delays.
With IndusInd Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance (formerly Reliance Annual Multi-Trip Travel Insurance), you get cashless claims and 24/7 customer support via the IndusInd Insurance app. Enjoy uninterrupted travel coverage every time you travel overseas!
What is Annual Multi Trip Travel Insurance?
Annual multi trip travel insurance is a travel insurance plan that covers multiple trips within a year under one single policy. Instead of buying a new policy for every journey, you stay covered for all your trips during the policy period, as long as each trip falls within the allowed duration.
This type of travel insurance is ideal for frequent travellers, such as business professionals, consultants, students visiting home often or leisure travellers who take several international trips a year. It saves time, reduces paperwork and is usually more cost-effective than buying multiple single-trip policies.
How Does Multi Trip Travel Insurance Work?
Annual multi trip travel insurance works on a fixed policy period, usually one year, during which you can take any number of trips. Each trip, however, must not exceed a predefined maximum duration, which is 30, 45 or 60 days, depending on the plan chosen.
The coverage automatically starts when you begin each trip and ends when you return, without the need to inform the insurer every time. Benefits like medical emergencies, trip delays, baggage loss, and personal liability apply to every trip taken during the policy year, subject to policy terms.
The policy is renewed annually, and coverage limits reset as per the policy structure. As long as each trip stays within the allowed duration and destinations covered, you remain continuously protected throughout the year.

How to Choose the Best Annual Multi Trip Travel Insurance
How Often You Actually Travel
If you travel more than 2–3 times a year whether for work, short holidays, or family visits, an annual multi trip plan saves you money and the hassle of buying insurance before every trip.
Where You Travel Most Often
Choose a plan that clearly covers all your destinations. Some plans are limited to Asia, while others include Europe (Schengen) or worldwide travel. Always match the policy region with your real travel routes.
Length of Each Trip
Check the maximum number of days allowed per trip, such as 30, 45, or 60 days. Pick a limit that fits your longest typical journey so you don’t risk being uninsured mid-trip.
Your Age and Travel Group
Make sure the plan suits your age and whether you travel alone, with family, or as a senior traveller. Some plans offer better coverage and benefits for families or older travellers.
Reason You Travel
If you travel for business, conferences, or a mix of work and leisure, ensure the policy allows business travel and related activities without restrictions.
Medical and Emergency Protection
Frequent travellers should prioritise strong medical coverage, emergency evacuation, and hospitalisation benefits. These features matter most when travelling often or across multiple countries.
